MEQUINENZA – Fisherman’s Paradise!

Mequinenza, Aragon which borders Catalunya sits at the foot of the Pyrenees and is the beautiful home town for Ebro Catfishing holidays in Spain.

The quiet town is located by the confluence of the rivers Segre and Ebro and has a population of around 2800 residents.

The famous castle looks down on the town, where you can overlook and experience the panoramic views of Mequinenza.

As well as enjoying the amazing fish, sit back while you wait for your reel to scream and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and wildlife.

There are bars where you can enjoy a lovely cold San Miguel, restaurants, shops and even tackle shops.
If you get too hot there is an outdoor swimming pool where you can go and cool down!
Food and drinks can even be delivered to you while you are fishing on the river banks, what more could you ask for?!

 

 

Accommodation

 

The apartment sleeps 5, with 2 bedrooms with twin beds and a larger bed in the living quarters. The modern kitchen has cooking facilities, fridge and washing machine and there is a large dining area with TV and DVD player, so feel free to bring some movies if you fancy watching a film. There is 1 bathroom with toilet and shower (please bring your own towels). The apartments are fitted with air conditioning. There is also a table and chairs outside on the balcony next to the river. I can also accommodate for larger groups in the next door apartment and they are situated around 5 minutes from the centre of Mequinenza.
